2019 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
This Napa Cabernet Sauvignon reflects a traditional old-school approach to winemaking, where terroir is allowed to express itself and the art of the blend results in wines of balance and complexity. Joseph Carr and celebrated winemaker Wayne Donaldson work with small growers in the Napa Valley and Rutherford AVAs to assemble this cuvée, which offers richness, depth, and approachability.
Aromas of blackberry, cherry, and a touch of cinnamon leap from the glass. On the palate, the wine offers flavors of blackberry jam, dried cherry and dry cured olive, wrapped in well-structured yet supple tannins. Concentrated dark fruits linger on the finish, along with a note of star anise and a hint of fresh roasted coffee bean.
